In this tutorial you will learn how to create some cute crochet pumpkins, these make lovely autumn decorations and are also great for Halloween.

Some basic knowledge of crochet stitches is recommended, but full instructions for each stitch are provided.

You will learn how to make pumpkins using the Double Crochet stitch, the Double crochet in the back loop, the Half treble crochet, the magic circle and working in the round.

To complete this tutorial you will need:

Yarn - Two colours, orange and green (or whatever colour you would like your Pumpkin to be). I use a Chunky weight for methods 1 & 3, and then a Double knit (DK) weight for methods 2 & 4. You can use any weight for any of the methods, but you will need to adjust the amount of stitches to get the same sizes.

Felt and/or Cinnamon sticks - For making the stalks in methods 1 & 2.Crochet hook - Method 1 & 3 - size 6mm. Methods 2 & 4 Size 4mm.

Toy Stuffing - For filling your pumpkin, I used polyester.Yarn Needle - Or a large darning needle. Any needle that is long with a wide eye will work. A doll needle is also beneficial but not essential.

Stitch Marker - You can use a small piece of yarn to mark your stitches but I find the little plastic markers easier to use.Hot Glue gun, or some strong glue - This is for Method 1 & 2.
